[OhQP-mail] N1MM+ question

I tried N1MM+ with my 1.5 GHz quad core laptop, with Windows 10 and 4
GHz memory. It sent crummy code at 20 to 30 WPM. Even sent jerky code
when I went to 12 to 16 WPM for someone sending slow.
Is this typical? I was able to send very accessible code with a 1.2 GHz
single core computer with Windows XP and 2 GHz memory.
Yes, I know folks say I should use something called Win Key to do the
keying, but why? For the past 20 years or so I've used various programs
to log and send Code simultaneously, even with a Windows 98 computer
with 133 MHz processor and 98 megabytes of memory.
Is the new software so bloated with bellzandwhistles that a "reasonably
fast" computer won't run both logging and CW sending without making code
which sounds akin to what I can send with my left foot?
Or, is it Windows 10?
I'd like to keep using N1MM+, but may have to move to some more
efficient program if it is the problem with the software.
