It runs from 1400z to 2200z. As of this morning, 53 of the 73 available parks are listed on the planned activation page. So be watching for us. If you are in or near Ohio, and are looking for a reason to activate a park, please visit our website (ospota.org) for rules, and the latest updates to the list. We also have a OSPOTA - KFF cross-reference. Unless something happens to change my plans, I will likely be camping at Jefferson Lake State Park (KFF-1963). As of this morning, it is still unactivated in the POTA program. 73 DE KD8MQ *John Myers, KD8MQ* kd8mq1 at gmail.com 330-936-5021 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Actually the web site displayed the following to you (I know because the two times you tried to submit, it sends me a copy too): Sorry W8VVL we can't accept your log submission as is. Please fix the log and resubmit. File is not a legal cabrillo file, EOL. Processing of log is aborted. The file is not a legal cabrillo file because it is missing one of the required tags, the EOL (END-OF-LOG:) tag. Replace "END-OF-LOG :" With "END-OF-LOG:" Since the file wasn?t a legit Cabrillo file it didn?t look for QSO?s? that?s what ?Processing of log is aborted? means. There was no judgment of the QSO?s. >All I can figure is that the robot must be very finiky about the placement of each field, and N3FJP doesn't understand these details. This is not true. Many people use N3FJP software and I?m not aware of anyone else having this issue from FJP. Normally I see this when someone tries to make their own Cabrillo file and they don?t know the Cabrillo spec or the file is not a Cabrillo file (like an adif or database or other file). >most ex spurts these daze say that generally, the spacing between fields is not important with current log checking software. Several of the folks on OHQP mail list have been following the saga of my missing amplifier. Here?s some breaking news?

I ordered the amp from DX Engineering in March of 2016. It was shipped out immediately and arrived in Florida in a few days. From Florida a freight forwarder shipped it to Costa Rica. It actually arrived in Costa Rica in late April 2016.

Unfortunately, there was a shake up in Customs here, and my amp got caught up in the turmoil. The amp sat in Customs for 17 months, and it was finally released about a month ago. Unfortunately, during the long storage time, the Customs warehouse here managed to loose the amp altogether.

On Monday, the freight broker finally gave up and asked me for my banking info so he could honor the insurance claim. I sent him the info, but on Tuesday, the amp was found in the warehouse after a last ditch effort to locate it.

It was delivered to me yesterday ? finally.

When I ordered it from DX Engineering, I asked them to beef up the shipping box since it was likely to receive some rough handling along the way. Interestingly enough, MFJ double boxed the amp. DX Engineering added additional corner protectors before they shipped it. Much to my surprise, the amp was received intact, even after seven inspections. Only issue was one loose tube.

Hookup was a little problematic. The amp relay interface/buffer that I already had uses a RCA plug to key the amp. No problem there. Unfortunately, my Yaesu transceiver only has a 8 pin mini DIN output to key the interface/buffer. Much to my surprise, I actually had a new mini DIN in my junk box and was able to make up the correct cable marriage.

Even more amazing, nothing appears to be wrong with the amp! I haven?t finished putting it through all the paces, but everything so far seems good. We now have some fire in the wire!
