Sorry to report that N8V will be a no show in VINTon county this year.  
The operator, N8XX, must be getting to be a real olde fogey because he 
feels that being in a very isolated place like the Pretty Run Nature 
Preserve along the Buckeye/North Country National Scenic Trail could be 
hazardous to one's health.  The camp site is at creek level, about 200 
feet or more lower than the tops of the hills. There is no cell phone 
service, no water, no electicity, no "indoor plumbing" not even an 
outhouse at the site.  A person from the Buckeye Trails Association 
described a site on top of the hills where cell phone service is 
available, but it at least a mile along the trail in a zig-zag route to 
get there.

So valor is the better part of discretion (or the converse), so I'll 
forego operating from VINTon county during the Ohio QSO party this 
year.  It would have been easy to set a new record for QRP operation in 
that county, since there is no record for such operation. :)

I trust that next year thingss will be a bit better, and I can visit 
VINTon county to set a new record.
