Hank...

Here's the deal...

Start a new log in the data base...

1. Contest name is QSOPARTY

2. In the drop down box for the "State for Log Type QSOPARTY" Select Ohio
This loads your county abbreviations...so if you type in TRMU instead
of
TRUM for Trumbull County in the Received exchange field...you will be
      chastised for your keying error.

3. Select appropriate power/category/etc

4. Overlay is N/A

5. Sent exchange field should be 001 and your county abbreviation.
For example...mine will be 001 TRUM

You can't enter anything in the SENT Exchange field...the program will
increment
that field for you automatically as you work guys. Should you need to
change
that field (but I can't imagine why) click on the EDIT tab and go to edit
the last
contact...or use the Control + Y shortcut.

Just so as to not drive yourself crazy...start a "practice" log...enter a
few qso's
and see how it goes. Then start a "real" log for Saturday.

N1MM is an amazing program with a fairly steep learning curve. There is an
N1MM reflector that you can join. It has been my experience that whatever
incredibly stupid question I have...ten guys have probably asked it before.

There is also plenty of assistance available at www.N1MM.COM.

See you this weekend.
