Info from AA3B regarding 160m in the PaQP. There's a point advantage in the
PaQP for working people on 160, which is likely why anyone goes there.

 Hi Kenny,

The PA QSO Party is sort of unique as state QSO parties go. It is primarily
an intra-state event. There is a point advantage to 160M and 80M CW QSOs –
both are worth 2 points, as compared to 1.5 points for CW QSOs on 40 and
above, and 1 point of SSB QSOs. Also, there is mobile activity, but it is
not as dominant as in other QSO parties. 160 adds some excitement, but the
activity is not huge – my totals for 160M are shown below. Hope this
helps. 73 Bud AA3B

Hi Bud,

K8MR (Prez of MRRC) is asking about adding 160m to the Ohio QSO Party. I've
been looking at other successful state QSO parties who allow 160m to see if
there's any real advantage. What advantage, if any, does 160m give you in
the PaQP?

Many thanks, Kenny K2KW (portable 8)
