Not as bad as Puerto Rico was hit by Maria, but we had over 20 inches of ran in about 12 hours with hurricane force winds. Here at TI8/AA8HH we are on top of a mountain, so flooding was not an issue, but mud slides and downed trees we somewhat of a problem. We only had minor damage to the house, but the storm was terrifying. Much to our surprise, we only had minor power outages up here and our water system is still intact. Cell phone service had multiple disruptions, but seems to be in decent shape now. Antennas survived as well.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Unfortunately, below us in the valley there is widespread devastation due to flooding. Many bridges washed out, road cave ins, etc. Hundreds (probably more like thousands of houses went under water and the folks living in these houses lost everything. Many of the areas nearby are without power and water and some of the small villages are isolated from assistance.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The good news is that the government has managed to get most of the main roads open, and most of the country has power and water.
