Yes, it's a LARGE download and you need to download and install each
patch too. The reason it's so large is it contains polygon
information for every county in the US and some of Canada too.
<br>
<br>
There's an updated DLL that hasn't been released yet that adds and
fixes a couple of things in the KML map generation. You should have
received it by separate email but if anyone else is going to try
CQ/X please let me know.<br>
<br>
There's a bit of a learning curve to CQ/X so drop me or Chuck a line
if you have any questions.<br>

CQ/X is one helluva download. I'm not a mobile op, but I'm going
to install it, fiddle around, and update my own map based upon
plans as ops continue to provide updates.<br>
<br>
Thanks for revealing that feature in CQ/X, Alan.<br>

And by manipulating the data a bit on the CH needs web
page ( <<a moz-do-not-send="true"
href="http://www.cquest.com/cgi-bin/flynn/needs.pl"
target="_blank">http://www.cquest.com/cgi-bin/flynn/needs.pl</a>>
) you can create a map showing which counties are most
needed by the county hunters.<br>

It's actually fairly easy to do using CQ/X de NO5W
which is free to download from <<a
moz-do-not-send="true" href="http://www.no5w.com"
target="_blank">http://www.no5w.com</a>>.<br>
<br>
Here's an example from the 2010 TQP <<a
moz-do-not-send="true"
href="http://tinyurl.com/3c7zf86" target="_blank">http://tinyurl.com/3c7zf86</a>>.
Clicking on a county shows the stations planned to be
active. You may have to zoom in slightly for that to
work.<br>
<br>
Since that map was created Chuck has made some changes
so the colors indicate the number of stations active
in a county.<br>
<br>
K0PC did some enhancements to Chuck's work for the
MNQP. It's now offline but a screenshot is at <<a

href="http://tinyurl.com/3pjtum5" target="_blank">http://tinyurl.com/3pjtum5</a>>.<br>

Theoretically it shouldn't be that hard to do using
something like google maps and embedding the map
into the web page.<br>

Subject: [OhQP-mail] Map of planned activity?<br>

How difficult would it be to implement an
interactive map such as is on INQP (<a
moz-do-not-send="true"
href="http://www.hdxcc.org/inqp/activity.php"
target="_blank">http://www.hdxcc.org/inqp/activity.php</a>),
or, not quite so good, the MiQP (<a
moz-do-not-send="true"
href="http://www.miqp.org" target="_blank">http://www.miqp.org</a>)?<br>
<br>
Also, a place to list tentative route for mobiles
on the web page, so we don't have to sift through
this reflector for such info?<br>
<br>
Neither is a big deal - just shows the "state of
the art".<br>
